Summer Recap / Looking Ahead
We finished the month of June with a 9-4 record. We saw some really good things and also a great deal to improve upon. For the 8 guys not playing football, we will begin 3 on 1 workouts once school begins. We have bleachers to fill come November!!!!

JV and Varsity Team Camp Participants,
I received good news from PC assistant coach Justin Smith yesterday. They are putting our guys in a hotel for the couple of nights at team camp instead of the dorms. We will have tv's in the rooms, a pool, and maid service. This also means that you will not have to pack sheets and pillows. He thinks that we will be in the Comfort Suites in Clinton. Here are a few important things about the upcoming camp:
1. We are going to challenge the guys to be first class in everything that we do. Their behavior is expected to be excellent at all times. We want to be tremendous examples for our families, our program, and our school. Parents will be asked to come pick up their child if this standard is not upheld. Obviously, we do not expect any issues but want to be clear about our expectation.
2. We will leave on a bus from Ben Lippen at 8:30 on Sunday morning. We will have a devotion once we arrive in Clinton before we begin playing. We will stop and eat breakfast on the way (we have to check in at PC at 11:00 before heading to the hotel)
3. We will arrive back at Ben Lippen sometime on Tuesday night (we wont know an exact time until we know what time we play Tuesday night). We will have the guys call and let you know asap.
4. The guys will need a little extra cash... they will want to use vending machines, buy t-shirts, bowl etc. We will allow them to eat out a few times if they wish but all meals are included if they want to eat at PC.
5. I have attached the insurance form that needs to be turned in before we leave. It can be turned in at Friday's practice or Sunday morning.
I'm sure I have forgotten something. Please feel free to email me with any other questions.
In terms of packing clothes, I would pack several pairs of basketball shorts and t-shirts. We will provide the guys their jerseys for the games (varsity has been provided their shorts as well).
Thanks
Coach Molony

Schedule change for next week's practice:
Monday and Friday we will practice from 11-1230 at CIU. This will be better for guys that are lifting weights (they won't have to go home and come back). We will leave on Sunday morning for team camp (June 24th). I will give the guys more details at practice.
Thanks!

Summer Basketball Information
Parents,
I hope this email finds you doing well. I have several items to pass on to you:
1. We have every prospective JV and Varsity player committed to team camp this summer. This is a testament to you and your support. Thank you for making the sacrifice to send them with us. If you go to gobluehose.com, you can look at the camp information. It does not give a form of what to bring. However, it is fairly simple. They will show up to a dorm room that has a mattress and a dresser. They really need to bring everything else (sheets, towels, toiletries, pillows, etc.). The only clothes they need are casual shorts and t-shirts. I will give them a practice jersey and shorts. Meals are included in the price so the guys won't need much extra money. I apologize to you moms...haha... I know you want more details so feel free to email me specific questions.
2. Your son MUST have a NEW physical to begin summer workouts in June. I will carry a copy of the physical to team camp with us. Also, if PC requires an insurance form, I will get that to you asap.
3. I am working with Dan Plunkett for a possible Winterim trip to Italy!! It would be a mission / sightseeing trip and we will play 3 games against Italian club teams. It is going to be a great experience for the guys. I will be sending details to you as we learn more. If you have ideas for fundraisers then please let me know. We will also be asking each player's home Church to help support. Again, we are just beginning to plan but wanted to make you aware.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns!

Additional Basketball Info / Team Camp Info
Parents,
I have added a varsity only scrimmage AT Eau Claire on June 8th. The scrimmage will begin at 1:00. We still will have practice from 1030-1200 on that day as originally planned. Obviously, competing against athletes of that caliber will only help us as we progress. Thanks for your support. I will be sending camp info very soon. We will begin collecting money in the next couple of weeks. Again, it is $180 per player and we are going to PC from June 24th to June 26th. We would like to have the money turned in by Friday, May 11th. Checks should be made payable to Ben Lippen. Please do not hesitate to contact me with questions.
Thanks,
Coach Molony

SUMMER BASKETBALL INFO
Parents,
Here are some dates/times that we are looking at for summer basketball. Making our Varsity roster will be extremely competitive and attendance on these dates is crucial. We have several games scheduled that will help us as coaches evaluate players in game situations. The month of June is loaded with team workouts. We will work in some individual workouts on days that we do not have things scheduled. The month of July is when we will focus in more on our 3 on 1 individual workouts. If you have not yet planned a vacation, July would be much better in terms of when to miss. The weightroom will be open on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings throughout the summer. It is going to take a great deal of work to turn our program around, but I think we have the type of guys that can get it done. I look forward to watching them step up.
Monday June 4th- Practice 630-800
Friday June 8th- Practice 1030-1200
Monday June 11th- Practice 630-800
Tuesday June 12th- One Day Camp at Laurence Manning (3 games)
Monday June 18th- Practice 630-800
Friday June 22nd- POSSIBLE One Day FCA Camp at Ben Lippen
June 24th-26th- TEAM CAMP AT PC (8 games) approx $180 per player (includes meals / dor
I will send out a more official schedule as we get closer to the summer, but I wanted you to have the dates asap. I will make you aware of any changes or additions.
Thanks for your support of our program,

Tentative Winterim Schedule
Parents,
We have to make a change due to the NBA schedule. We have some players attending the Young Life Winterim as well. This plan hopefully is the best for all involved.
Monday- Practice at Ben Lippen
Tuesday- Practice at Ben Lippen
Wednesday- Practice at BL, team activity in Columbia (bowling, Frankies Fun Park or something similar), depart for ATL (except those attending Young Life)
Thursday- Service project in ATL, hopefully eat at the Varsity, NBA game at 7:00 (our seats are 8 rows from the floor!)
Friday- Return early AM
The cost was $125 which covers gas and the NBA game. We are taking bus #4 which is really bad on gas. The guys will need extra cash for bowling, meals, etc. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. I will make you aware of any changes. The $125 may be enough to cover a few meals as well, but I want the guys to be prepared with cash as well. Thanks,
Coach Molony
We will be staying with my brother in law's parents in Lawrenceville, GA. They are a very nice family that is not charging us and opening their home to us.

Fork in the Road
We had a tough loss last night against FC. We lost our composure in spots and did not play well together as a team. These next two practices are huge in terms of our season. It isnt so much about win and losses. Can we continue to build the foundation for our program? A program built on discipline and toughness took a step back last night....time to bounce back!!
